The Lake County Animal Shelter is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with a special adoption promotion designed to give pets a second chance at forever homes. The shelter currently has nearly 450 pets under its umbrella of care, making community adoptions more important than ever. Throughout July, adoption fees for all shelter pets will be just $2.50.
The campaign encourages residents to celebrate this historic milestone by welcoming a new furry family member into their homes.
“As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we’re reminded of the importance of freedom, opportunity, and strong communities,” said Whitney Boylston, Director of the Office of Animal Services for Lake County. “Opening your heart and home to a shelter pet is a meaningful way to reflect those values while changing a life forever.”
All adoptions include:
· Spay or Neuter Surgery
· Initial Vaccinations
· Microchip
· Personalized Identification Tag
· A Lifetime of Love
The $2.50 adoption promotion runs throughout the month of July. Potential adopters are encouraged to visit the Lake County Animal Shelter to meet available pets and find their newest family member. Residents not in a position to adopt might consider participating in foster or volunteer opportunities. Information about all the shelter’s programs can be found on the Lake County Animal Shelter’s website.
