Village Montessori School officially welcomed students and families for the 2026–2027 academic year with a school opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 17 at its campus located at 983 W. Desoto Street in downtown Clermont.
Nestled in the heart of downtown Clermont, the campus offers a peaceful setting designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning. Educators and staff are focused on providing students with the space and support they need to develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and a love of learning.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was officiated by the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the school and the continuation of a long-standing Montessori tradition in the community. It brought together community leaders, families, and supporters to celebrate the school’s opening and its commitment to serving south Lake area students for years to come.
Village Montessori School is housed in the former location of South Lake Montessori and remains committed to providing the child-centered educational approach that families in the area have valued for years. The new institution will build upon that foundation while introducing its own vision for fostering curiosity, independence, and lifelong learning.
