The City of Clermont is inviting local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations to take part in this year’s Scaremont: Halloween on the Trail, a family-friendly Halloween celebration scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Applications are now available for organizations interested in hosting a Community Trick-or-Treat Booth along the event trail. City officials encourage participants to help create a fun, festive, and memorable experience for local families while showcasing their organizations to the community.
The cost to participate is $25 plus applicable taxes and fees, while nonprofit organizations may register for $10 with proof of tax-exempt status.Applications are available here!
As part of the event requirements, each participating organization must provide a minimum of 2,000 individually wrapped pieces of candy to ensure children enjoy a successful trick-or-treating experience throughout the evening.
In addition to distributing candy, organizations are encouraged to decorate their booths with family-friendly Halloween themes, interact with attendees, and offer promotional items or giveaways. The city notes that while promotional materials are welcome, the sale of products or merchandise will not be permitted during the event.
One of the highlights of Scaremont will be the Most Spooktacular “BOO”-th Contest, which gives organizations the opportunity to showcase their creativity. Event attendees will vote for their favorite trick-or-treat booth, with participants encouraged to go all out with imaginative decorations and engaging displays.
City officials say the event provides a unique opportunity for organizations to connect with residents while contributing to a safe and enjoyable Halloween tradition for Clermont families.
Organizations interested in participating can submit an application through the city’s event registration portal. Those who have already registered for this year’s event are advised to disregard the application announcement and watch for additional event and arrival information as the date approaches.
