Clermont’s a cappella community will take center stage Saturday, September 26, when Sisters of Sound and Unaccompanied Minors headline “Barbershop Bonanza: An A Cappella Showcase” at Aurelia Cole Academy. Performances will be held at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm
The showcase will feature guest choruses Coastal Voices Chorus and Sunshine Harmony, along with special guest Vocal Moxie, which placed third at the 2024 Harmony, Inc. International Chorus Contest.

A Championship Season
The concert follows a milestone season for both hometown choruses. Sisters of Sound and Unaccompanied Minors earned qualifying scores at the 2026 Harmony, Inc. Area 6 Competition and Contests, securing spots at the organization’s International Contest this November in Louisville, Kentucky.
Sisters of Sound also captured the First Place Chorus Trophy at the Area 6 Convention in Jacksonville, which featured a record 286 singers competing in 12 choruses.
Director Tiana Sandh, a Clermont native who leads both ensembles, was recognized at the convention’s Awards Banquet for her leadership in engaging young singers in the pursuit of harmony.
Music, Community and Opportunity
Sisters of Sound is a women’s a cappella barbershop chorus welcoming singers of all experience levels. The group rehearses Tuesdays from 6:30–8:30 pm at Aurelia Cole Academy, and no experience is required.
Unaccompanied Minors is a youth-focused chorus for girls ages 7–25, meeting one Saturday afternoon each month at Aurelia Cole Academy.
Both choruses are members of Harmony, Inc., an international women’s a cappella barbershop organization founded in 1959 to empower women through singing, education and friendship.
Both choruses are currently welcoming new members of all experience levels.
