Central Florida Dreamplex has received a $21,390 grant from the SECO Energy Foundation to strengthen technology resources supporting Dreamplex Therapeutic School, speech therapy services, and The Friendship Place adult day program.
The funding will help Dreamplex expand access to technology and adaptive resources that support individualized learning, communication, participation, and skill development. The investment will benefit students, therapy clients, and participants at The Friendship Place by giving teachers, clinicians, and program staff additional tools to create more accessible and engaging experiences based on everyone’s needs.
“Technology can be an important bridge to communication, learning and independence for the individuals we serve,” said Cameron Gomes, CEO and Founder of Central Florida Dreamplex. “We are grateful to the SECO Energy Foundation for investing in resources that will directly support our students, therapy clients, Friendship Place participants, families, teachers, clinicians and program staff.”
Central Florida Dreamplex provides specialized education through Dreamplex Therapeutic School, physical, occupational and speech therapy services for children and adults with disabilities, and The Friendship Place, an adult day program serving individuals age 22 and older. The new technology will support individualized instruction, therapeutic communication and engagement, and adult day programming while helping staff expand opportunities for learning, participation and independence.
