FCA event organizer and Regional Director for Talent Advancement Mindy Lee Hopman shared, “A special thanks goes to our tournament sponsors with Clermont National, Langley Consulting, The Church at South Lake, Chick-fil-A of Winter Garden/Ocoee, and Mr. A/C of Orlando, as well as well as to our volunteers, board members, and friends who made this tournament possible!  Thank you for believing in FCA’s mission and investing in the next generation! We share our congratulations and thank you to every participating golfer for showing up for a great day of fellowship, fun, and Kingdom impact. This year truly felt like an FCA family event! Thanks to generosity of our sponsors and golfers, we have raised just over $30,000. By working together, we are making an eternal impact within our community.”

Hopman continues, “Every gift helps us put Bibles into the hands of our coaches and student athletes, as well as to partner with FCA missionaries and administrative staff, to support The Huddle: for women LIVE and year-long ministry experiences, and to equip leaders to share the Gospel and make disciples. We hope our community will help us meet our original 2026 goal of $50,000. Ultimately, the greatest impact isn’t measured in dollars raised or scores posted. It is measured in lives being changed through Jesus Christ for eternity.”

This exciting annual golf tournament, provides the opportunity for our participants, volunteers and sponsors to learn more about the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, including: FCA Huddles; school connections in South Lake County; Florida, as well as across the state; how FCA shares the Gospel, what discipleship looks like through FCA; and the various types of student athlete Huddles beyond campus gatherings.

South Lake County FCA Area Director Tim Hancock noted, “We are very proud of our 2026 FCA Golf Tournament players, sponsors, and volunteers. There are three ‘P’s’ in which you can help with the FCA needs here in South Lake County area. Pray for FCA to continue to be used to make a spiritual difference in our community. Participate. Become a volunteer by using the God given talents and treasures along with your time to serve in ministry. Partner by becoming a financial partner and teammate with FCA to raise up staff with resources to pour into our youth.”

Mary Berens of the FCA South Lake County Staff proudly noted, “All proceeds from this golf tournament event will benefit FCA missionaries, athletes and coaches, and families while helping to further FCA’s mission in the community and beyond.”

The FCA programs strive to help their participating students to become better individuals. FCA is an inspired community that works to see the world transformed in a very positive manner through shared Christianity by their coaches and athletes. They work to consistently disciple athletes by engaging, equipping, and empowering them through their ministry. FCA helps students realize their purpose for doing what they do. The FCA staff knows that most student athletes are often tired, stressed and only interested in playing sports. They work to help support the students’ levels of handling stress and how to deal with anger and their personal issues, while also supporting parents and families. The FCA Coaches spend much needed time coaching, teaching, and instructing student athletes.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for events all year long as well as next year’s golf tournament. All proceeds from their events will continue to benefit FCA missionaries, athletes and coaches, helping to further FCA’s mission in the community.
