Clermont Police Deputy Chief Jon Graczyk shared, “We really appreciate Uday Kadam and the Guru Indian Restaurant team enough for their ongoing support and partnership that they share with us and our entire community throughout the year! We really do appreciate their complete support to help foster a positive community relationship, while giving back to help us and to help each other while recognizing how we all are here to serve each other.”

With beautifully hot catered luncheons complete with their most popular butter chicken, beef and vegetarian entrees as well as naan breads and drinks, each city department, was able to enjoy a plentiful holiday feast with second and third helpings if desired.

Master Guru Chef! Uday Kadam is proudly from a small village 300 miles south of Mumbai, India. His father was a teacher; Kadam’s first ‘Guru.’ While Kadam was in college in Bombay, he worked at the famous Taj Mahal Hotel. He studied and worked under the talents of many respected gurus, who taught and encouraged him in what would become his life’s most desired profession. He soon thereafter started his professional career as a manager for Marriott Hotels in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt before coming to work in the United States in 1982. He has over 30 years of experience in the professional restaurant business here in the Orlando area. Here, he was a food and beverage manager working at the Disney Polynesian. Kadam notes, “The word Guru means ‘Master’ and ‘A Sharing Teacher.’ Growing up, I was fortunate to work for and learn from the best of the best at Marriott and Disney!”
