Community Foundation of South Lake (CFSLC) launched a new Animal Welfare Fund at the City of Clermont’s Annual Pups in the Park.
The CFSLC has served the South Lake Community for over 25 years and is excited to announce the launch of The Animal Welfare Fund! The CFLSC recognizes that both domestic and wildlife play an important role in our lives and community. The purpose of this fund is to support the care and welfare of domestic animals and the conservation and care of wildlife.
Executive Director, Laura Michalski said “We started the Animal Welfare Fund after local donors expressed a desire to serve this cause in a more impactful way. CFSLC is grateful for the support we received from Board Members, “Pat the Dog”, and other seed donors. Most importantly, we look forward to the collective future impact we will make with animal lovers in our community.”
Clermont’s Annual Pups in the Park event was the perfect way to commemorate the launch of the new fund with a ribbon cutting. CFSLC’s team also educated community leaders, animal lovers, and even furry friends on the impact of the new fund at the event. Donations to the new fund will help support nonprofits and their programs that provide direct services like pet therapy, homeless pet solutions, wildlife conservation, disaster response for animals, and connecting needed resources to support animal welfare causes.
