From the Pastfinders of South Lake

Missing the first session is not a problem; each class is designed to stand alone and will guide you through the science of family history research. In this class, you’ll become familiar with various vital records, learn to distinguish primary and secondary sources, and interpret census, naturalization, and military draft registration data. You’ll also learn how to avoid common research errors and explore different types of simple family tree publications. The topics include: Digging into Vital Records, Uncovering Census Basics, Avoiding Research Errors, and more.

The virtual class is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18th, from 1 PM to 3 PM. To receive your Zoom link, please register at PastfindersSLC.org. This is a free event open to the general public. The classes are designed to be taken individually and are ideal for both beginners and intermediate family historians. Join us to unearth your family’s history.
