Orlando Health South Lake Hospital has earned its 13th consecutive ‘A’ grade from the Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit organization committed to driving quality, safety and transparency in the U.S. health system.
“To receive 13 straight A’s from the Leapfrog Group really speaks to the seamless collaboration and teamwork that occurs between our providers, clinicians and team members,” said Lance Sewell, president of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital. “This recognition reinforces their dedication to our patients and to delivering the highest level of care every day.”
Orlando Health South Lake Hospital has earned several recognitions this year. U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, named the hospital as high-performing in six categories for common adult procedures and conditions. The hospital was also awarded the Get with the Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. Additionally, the hospital’s interventional cardiac care unit received a silver-level Beacon Award from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses in October.
All Orlando Health legacy hospitals received ‘A’ grades, which include Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital and Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital.
