Come join the USSVI South Lake Florida Base (SLF Base), United States Submarine Veterans Inc. (USSVI)
USSVI was established in 1964 with a single base in Groton, Connecticut. Over the past six decades, the organization has expanded to encompass 162 bases and has a membership of over 11,000 individuals across 49 states.
USSVI exists to honor our departed shipmates, foster fellowship, and demonstrate compassion. We remember them through readings and activities that maintain the spirit and camaraderie of submarine life. We extend a helping hand and words of encouragement to our fellow submariners when needed. Additionally, through our charitable foundation, we provide scholarships, maintain memorials, offer holiday meals to young families in need, and engage in other charitable works locally and nationwide whenever opportunities arise.
All qualified United States submariners are eligible for membership. Those who are not submarine qualified can become associated members. The South Lake Florida Base (SLF Base) meets every third Thursday of each month, 6:00 PM at the Minneola City Hall.
