The City of Clermont, in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of South Lake and the Live Well Foundation of South Lake, has officially broken ground on a brand-new inclusive playground at Lake Felter Park located at 1750 Johns Lake Road. The grand opening is just five weeks away!

Located next to Lost Lake Elementary School, Lake Felter Park already includes ways to play—basketball and tennis courts, a softball field, a reduced-size soccer field, and restrooms. Soon, families will also enjoy a vibrant, all-abilities playground, where children of every age and ability can laugh, play, and grow together.

This dream became reality thanks to the Kiwanis Club of South Lake, whose passion for inclusion helped secure $25,000 through the 2022 Legacy of Play contest. The Live Well Foundation of South Lake added even more strength to the project with generous grant funding, helping to create a space that reflects health, wellness, and connection for the entire community.

The inclusive playground is more than just new equipment—it’s a celebration of what happens when local leaders, nonprofits, and neighbors join forces. Together, they are creating a park where families can gather, children can thrive, and our community can shine.

Mark your calendars—grand opening in just five weeks! Bring the whole family and be part of this joyful new chapter for Lake Felter Park
