Guru Indian Restaurant recently celebrated 11 years of serving the South Lake community with an evening of food, entertainment, and hospitality. Owner and head chef Uday Kadam, his wife Pam, and their team warmly-welcomed guests. Members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce officiated a ribbon-cutting to mark the milestone.

Located at 2400 S US Hwy 27, Ste. 101 in Clermont, Guru has become a favorite destination for authentic Indian cuisine and fantastic service. Open seven days a week, the award-winning restaurant continues to build its reputation for quality and community connection.

Uday’s journey from a small village near Bombay to leading kitchens around the world inspired the restaurant’s name and mission. His experiences—from training at the Taj Mahal Hotel in India to managing with Marriott International and Disney—shaped the expertise and hospitality Guru is known for today.

Pam and Uday celebrate

Together with Pam, Uday created Guru Indian Restaurant to celebrate global flavors, culture, and connection—values that remain at the heart of every guest experience.
