After years of committed service to the City of Groveland, Councilman Mike Radzik is retiring from his position as the District Two representative. Known for his active approach to community connection and public service, Radzik has been a steadfast advocate for Groveland and its residents.

Since first falling in love with Groveland’s scenic beauty in 2004, he has embraced the city as his hometown and worked tirelessly alongside neighbors and friends to see it flourish.

Radzik was first elected to the Groveland City Council in November 2010, serving two years as Mayor. He was later elected to represent District Two in 2015, and re-elected in 2017 and again in 2019–2020. Before settling in Groveland, Radzik was active in community initiatives in New York, including Ronald McDonald fundraisers benefiting local youth.

Over his 15 years in Groveland, Radzik has continued his mission of fostering meaningful community impact. He served on the city’s first Recreational Advisory Committee (RAC), which helped bring the original Lake David Skate Park to life. Alongside his wife, Rose, he co-founded Groveland Cares, Inc., a non-profit organization that hosts free annual Thanksgiving dinners for local families.

Radzik holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, and extensive experience in Governmental Accounting. Yet, among all his achievements, he considers his greatest accomplishment to be using his knowledge and leadership to help Groveland reach its full potential — both naturally and civically.

Over the years, Councilman Radzik has represented Groveland in numerous regional and state organizations.

Radzik emotionally remarked that it was an honor to serve the people of Groveland and, in reflecting on his years of service to the city, Radzik shared; “This is the best staff Groveland has ever had”.

As Mike Radzik retires from his official duties, his influence endures in the many initiatives, partnerships, and community traditions he helped nurture — He is leaving an indelible mark on the City With Natural Charm.
