The Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is once again honoring U.S. military veterans and active-duty personnel during November by offering free passport photos.

“This marks our seventh year providing free passport photos for our veterans and military personnel,” said Gary Cooney, Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “Our service members give so much in service to our Country, and this is one small way we can express our gratitude for what they do.”

Since starting the veterans’ appreciation event in 2019, 417 veterans have been provided free photos. To be eligible for the free photo, military personnel can present their DD-214, military identification, or have a veteran designation on their driver’s license.
