The Minneola Library has officially opened its doors at 302 E. Pearl Street in Minneola — the site that once housed the city hall and public works buildings. The much-anticipated grand opening celebration was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, beginning at 9:30 am with members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce joining with city officials and community guests for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion and welcome the new facility to the business community.
The beautiful new library was designed by Powell Studio Architecture, a local firm owned by Jeff Powell, a lifelong resident of the area.
The Minneola Library is a full service library offering materials for checkout, placing items on reserve from other libraries for pick-ups/drop-offs, children’s and adult programs,computers for internet use, and wireless reception. The library’s former location, the Minneola Schoolhouse Library at 100 S. Main Avenue will soon be transformed into a bookstore, continuing its legacy as a place that celebrates reading and learning.
