The Minneola Library has officially opened its doors at 302 E. Pearl Street in Minneola — the site that once housed the city hall and public works buildings. The much-anticipated grand opening celebration was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, beginning at 9:30 am with members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce joining with city officials and community guests for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion and welcome the new facility to the business community.
The beautiful new library was designed by Powell Studio Architecture, a local firm owned by Jeff Powell, a lifelong resident of the area.
The Minneola Library is a full service library offering materials for checkout, placing items on reserve from other libraries for pick-ups/drop-offs, children’s and adult programs,computers for internet use, and wireless reception. The library has a Friends Group, the Front Porch Book Club,and Family Story Times. Come and check out our free magazine exchange
The library’s former location, the Minneola Schoolhouse Library at 100 S. Main Avenue will soon be transformed into a bookstore, continuing its legacy as a place that celebrates reading and learning.
