The City of Groveland invites the community to honor loved ones and celebrate tradition at this year’s Día de los Muertos event on Saturday, November 1, beginning at 6:00 pm at Lake David Park, 243 S. Lake Avenue, Groveland.
This vibrant evening promises a heartfelt blend of remembrance, culture, and fun for the entire family. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best Catrina attire and immerse themselves in the colorful spirit of this cherished Mexican tradition.
At 7:15 pm., settle in under the stars for a special Movie in the Park showing of Disney Pixar’s beloved film Coco — a perfect choice to capture the beauty and meaning of Día de los Muertos.
Visitors can enjoy local bites from Las Comadres LLC, plus complimentary treats including Pan de Muerto, popcorn, and marigolds. Families are also invited to participate in the Family Ofrenda Contest by emailing parks-rec@groveland-fl.gov to register their altars celebrating loved ones who have passed.
To add even more color to the evening, face painting will be available for all ages.
Join the City of Groveland for an unforgettable night of music, memories, and community — a true celebration of life, love, and legacy.
