Clermont Garden Club members participated at the Clermont Head Start Fall Festival by hosting an activity table where children can plant flowers to take home. Head Start is a free program for children (ages 3-5) of low income families, providing child care and comprehensive early learning at the facility located at E. Desoto St., Clermont. This year’s Fall Festival at Head Start featured a huge bounce house, photo opportunities, coloring and gardening stations.
Throughout the year, the Clermont Garden Club purchase flower/garden related books for the children at Head Start. Club members come during the school day to interact and read the books to children in their classrooms. The books are then donated to Head Start.
Guests and prospective members are always welcome at the Clermont Garden Club meetings.
Come and join us at our next meeting on Wednesday, Nov 19 at the clubhouse located at 849 West Avenue, Clermont at 9:30 am-noon.
