The excitement is building at Montverde Academy as students, families, and fans prepare for the school’s first-ever Hoops Mania, a community event celebrating the start of the 2025–26 basketball season.
Hoops Mania will take place on Saturday, November 8, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the EdgeCenter for Sportsmanship and Wellness (The Nest) in Montverde. Doors open at 12:30 pm.
The afternoon will feature the introduction of the Academy’s national boys’ and girls’ basketball teams, giving fans their first opportunity to see both squads before the regular season begins.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including a 3-point contest, slam dunk competition, and skills challenges, as well as a mixed scrimmage featuring players from both teams. The event will also include live entertainment, face painting, and family-friendly activities in the lobby. A post-event meet and greet will allow fans to take photos and collect autographs from the student-athletes.
“Hoops Mania is a celebration of our basketball tradition and school spirit,” said Montverde Academy Athletics. “It’s a fun way to bring our community together as we launch a new season.”
