The South Lake High School football team was recognized by the City of Groveland for its remarkable breakout season. The Eagles finished the year with an impressive 11–2 record, won two playoff games, and captured back-to-back district championships. The team also claimed the Lake County Championship, securing victories over Lake Minneola, East Ridge, Mount Dora, Leesburg, and Tavares.
