Alan Hays, Lake County Supervisor of Elections is providing students in age groups 9-12 and 13-18 an opportunity to bring some fun and creativity to the traditional “I Voted” sticker.

Students are invited to participate in the inaugural Lake County “I Voted” Sticker Contest and submit a sticker design for the 2026 Election Cycle. Two designs, one from each age group, will be selected by a panel of judges and the Lake County Supervisor of Elections. Each winning design will be printed and distributed to voters during the Primary and General Elections.

“This contest is a great tool for our office to connect to our community. “I Voted” stickers enable voters to show their civic pride after voting. Engaging young people in elections, by whatever means we can reasonably take, is essential to our nation’s future,” said Alan Hays, Lake County Supervisor of Elections.

Application packets for the Lake County 2026 “I Voted” Sticker Contest will be available February 2, 2026, online at lakevotes.gov/342/SUBMIT. Interested applicants are encouraged to carefully read all rules and instructions when applying. Entry forms and artistic submissions will accepted March 2-31, 2026.

Questions regarding the contest can be directed to voteroutreach@lakevotes.gov.
