Lake County’s hotel and tourism leaders gathered on Thursday, February 26, for the quarterly Lake County Lodging Leadership Meeting, a collaborative forum focused on strengthening partnerships and advancing the local hospitality economy.
Hosted at the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, the meeting highlighted the power of regional cooperation in supporting Lake County’s growing visitor industry. Special appreciation was extended to David Colby, President & CEO of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, for his continued support of the Lake County lodging community and its leadership initiatives.
The session was facilitated by Katerina Templo, General Manager of the Hampton Inn & Suites Clermont and a member of the Board of Directors for the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association (CFHLA). Recognized as the largest regional hospitality association in the United States, CFHLA represents nearly 129,500 hotel rooms across Central Florida and works alongside approximately 500 supplier partners who support the tourism and hospitality industries.

Attendees received updates from Discover Lake County, the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, and CFHLA, with discussions centered on tourism trends, sports development, and key initiatives shaping Lake County’s evolving visitor landscape. The meeting also recognized CFHLA’s 2026 sponsors — Circle of Success, Smart City, and Unimac Management — for their ongoing commitment to the industry.
The Lodging Leadership Meeting continues to serve as an important platform for collaboration, idea-sharing, and strategic planning — all aimed at supporting the sustained growth and success of Lake County’s hospitality industry.
