LEGO Club

Wednesday, April 1 | 4 – 5 P.M.

Come make new friends and build cool stuff! Participate in new challenges, try different techniques, and see what your imagination can come up with! Bricks are provided. As cool as your builds are, please leave personal Legos at home.

Recommended for ages 5 and up.

PAWS Therapy Dog

Friday, April 10 | 10 – 11 A.M.

Join us for a visit with PAWS Therapy Dogs!  Reading out loud has been proven to improve reading confidence for children, and there’s no set of ears better than a certified therapy dog’s.  PAWS Therapy Dogs will be visiting Cooper on the second Friday of every month!

All ages welcome.

Family Movie Day

Saturday, April 11 | 10 A.M. – 12 P.M.

Gather the whole family to enjoy a popular family-friendly movie together.

Teen Club

Wednesday, April 15 | 4 – 5 P.M.

Join us for a monthly free-flowing teen program!  We can craft, play games, or work on a big group project.  All materials will be provided.

Wildcard Wednesday

Wednesday, April 22 | 4 – 5 P.M.

Join us for a monthly mystery program geared towards elementary-aged children.  Is it a craft?  Is it a STEAM activity?  Find out on Wildcard Wednesday!  All materials will be provided.

Baby & Me Storytime

Every Monday | 11 – 11:30 A.M.

Join us in our Story Room for a weekly, baby-friendly storytime. Bond with your baby through books, bouncy rhymes, and songs in this lapsit program that introduces early literacy skills and encourages language development.

This program is open to babies ages 0 to 2 and their grown-ups. No registration is required, but space in our Story Room is limited and available as space allows.

Toddler Storytime

Every Tuesday & Thursday | 11 – 11:30 A.M.

Join us in our Story Room for a weekly themed storytime full of music, movement, and fun! Stick around after for our sensory play time and explore new skills with our fun sensory stations.

This program is for children ages 2-4, but learners of all ages and ability levels are welcome to attend! No registration is required, but space in our Story Room is limited to first-come, first-served.

Weekly Kids Crafts & Coloring Sheets

Every Tuesday and Wednesday | 12 – 7 P.M.

Drop in anytime to pick up a special to-go craft kit or fresh coloring sheets!

One Page Rules: Grimdark Future

Saturday, April 4 | 9:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.

Sci-fi tabletop wargaming comes to Cooper Memorial Library!  Bring your Grimdark Future army and try to claim supremacy of the galaxy.  Most games will be at 2,000 points.

No army, no problem. The Friends of the Cooper Memorial Library have provided extra armies for new players who want to give it a try.

Clermont Ukuleles

Tuesday, April 7 | 3 – 5 P.M.

Bring your ukulele and join us for intermediate to advanced group play!  The Ukulele Club meets every first Tuesday of the month. Chords and lyrics will be projected on a large TV monitor for easy following, and we have a diverse selection of music from all years and genres.

Cooper Writer’s Group

Wednesday, April 8 & 22 | 1 – 3 P.M.

Find your inspiration, hone your skills, and receive constructive feedback with this supportive writers group. Cooper Writer’s Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.

Pastfinders Presents: Debbie Smyth

UF|IFAS Master Gardener Series: Caladiums

Wednesday, April 14 | 2 – 3 P.M.

Caladiums are tropical, colorful tubers that can be grown in Lake County, given our temperate weather.  Learn about the two basic types of caladiums.  Some questions that will be answered are:

When and how do I plant caladiums?

• Do I dig the tuber up every fall?
• How many colors are caladiums?
• Find out how versatile this plant can be in your landscape!
