The water main has been repaired, and the Sunshine Water Plant is now functioning again. The first sample of water will be pulled at 8:00 pm tonight, with the second round of samples pulled at 8:00 am on Wednesday.
We’re expecting the results from the first and second rounds of testing Thursday. If the samples comes back clean, the City’s northern service area could see the precautionary boil water advisory lifted.However, this would not happen until Thursday (likely before noon).
While we wait for samples to return, we will remain in a precautionary boil water advisory for this area.
The City understands the frustration and anxiety this has caused our residents, and on behalf of City leadership, staff, and Groveland City Council, we want to extend our deepest apologies for this continued inconvenience.
The City will keep residents updated as this boil water advisory continues.
