Several washouts have appeared between the South Lake Trail and Lake Minneola at the north end of Victory Pointe. This is likely due to the heavy rains experienced during the last few days.
On Wednesday morning, city staff is meeting with experts who examine the basin near the trail washouts whenever there is 1/4 inch or more of rain to determine how the washouts occurred and to restore the area.
City Manager Darren Gray said, “Our lakes and trail are very important to the community, and we are committed to resolving this problem and protecting our waterways.”
