Building Blocks Celebration Time

Building Blocks Ministries recently held its Annual Achievement Celebration to recognize the accomplishment of over 65 individuals attending the day training program.

Each individual received a certificate and lapel pin honoring their accomplishment. A special surprise included t-shirts from the Walk at Home team, Walk Productions, Inc. for those who participated in the Indoor Walking class.

Over 225 guests attended the event, many playing a key role as sponsors and supporters of Building Blocks Ministries. Harper Family Charitable Foundation was the host sponsor; Daniel Whitehouse acted as master of ceremonies and the Wesley Center at FUMC prepared and served a wonderful meal.

The evening included presentations from four of the originations’ Community Program Partners; Cameron Gomes, Central Florida Dreamplex, Nello Woodhouse, Kiwanis Club of Clermont, Patricia Kry, Faith Neighborhood Center and Pastor Brian Broadway, Living Message Church. Each presenter shared accomplishments of those participating in Health & Wellness classes, Community Involvement class/Kiwanis Aktion Club, and Exploring Work volunteers.

“Building Blocks Ministries is grateful for the collaboration of our Community Partners. Each partnership supports the vision of Building Blocks Ministries “full inclusion and participation of individuals with developmental disabilities in all aspects of the community.”

Located in Minneola, Building Blocks Ministries has been serving the community since 2006, working daily to fulfill their mission; “serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to dream, believe & achieve; through advocacy, coalition building, job & life skills training in a safe and trusted environment.”
