Cornerstone Hospice honored Clermont resident Clifton Fox for his service to the nation at a special pinning ceremony on Sunday, February 3.

Clifton Fox, who is 104 years old, served in the U.S. Marines from 1934-38. According to the China Marine Association, Fox is the oldest living “China Marine” and served in Shanghai.

Cornerstone Hospice Veteran Program Administrator George Wanberg led the ceremony to honor Mr. Fox for his service. During the Cornerstone SALUTES! ceremony, Mr. Fox received a certificate of recognition and a special pin as well as a thank you salute.

Cornerstone SALUTES! is a four-star partner with the national We Honor Veterans initiative, a partnership with U.S. Veterans Affairs and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
