Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut celebrated their grand opening in Groveland. Members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon-cutting. Many dignitaries from Clermont, Groveland, and south Lake attended, including Groveland Mayor Evelyn Wilson;  Dave Colby, President of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce; Carl VanNostrand, President & COO of the Celebration Restaurant Group, and his local and regional management team.

Meghan Osborn, Marketing Director, Kristin Powell, Director of Operations, Carl VanNostrand, COO & President of Celebration Restaurant Group, Hellen Sermini, Restaurant General Manager of KFC and Wes Carnicom, Restaurant General Manager of Pizza Hut.

Meghan Osborn of the Celebration Restaurant Group, notes, “We are really thrilled to be joining the Groveland Community!  We strive to provide excellent service while serving hot and delicious food to our customers. We look forward to supporting the local community with upcoming events, school sponsorships, local fundraisers and catering needs.  Make sure to stop in and try Pizza Hut’s original Stuffed Crust Pizza and our delicious Wings as well as KFC’s brand-new Chicken Sandwich that will soon debut in March.”

Both KFC and the Pizza Hut Restaurants have partnered with the Second Harvest Food Bank to provide weekly food donations to the Faith Neighborhood Center in Groveland.  They also host an annual fundraiser each spring to support the Children’s Home Society of Florida.  CHS’s Healthy Families Program has South Lake County facilities in nearby Tavares. This is a free, voluntary program that offers support and guidance to new parents in the local community.
