The Clermont Police Department is working on an Attempted Homicide that occurred May 29, 2021 at approximately 4:07 pm in the 500 block of E Minnehaha Ave., Clermont, FL.
Clermont Police Officers were dispatched to a shooting involving an adult female and an adult male. During this incident, the adult male sustained injuries and was transported by unknown associates to a local hospital to receive medical attention. Clermont Officers responded to the scene quickly and began interviewing witnesses and bystanders.
Early investigation revealed that the suspect and the victim are known to each other. The suspect was later identified as Amber Nicole Smith, W/F, DOB 08/11/1985. She fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival.
The Clermont Police Department is asking for assistance in locating Amber Smith, W/F, possibly driving a silver Ford F150 with an unknown temporary tag or a lime green Chevy Camaro with black racing stripes bearing Florida tag 79AFDS.
Clermont Police Investigators are asking that anyone with information regarding Amber’s whereabouts contact the Clermont Police Department. Amber is considered armed and dangerous.
