They’re not just waterfront havens where you can rent a boat for the day or go stand-up paddleboarding, they’re also destinations with exciting restaurants, hotels, shopping, and plenty of non-water-based activities.
Under the distinctive heading, Welcome To Your Next Waterfront Escape, Clermont Chain of Lakes is described as a system of 11 lakes in Florida, but the historic village of Clermont is specifically nestled on Lake Minneola. About half an hour from Orlando, Clermont is the heart of this multi-lake community and is also close to Lake Louisa (the largest of the Clermont Chain of Lakes). When you’re not exploring the surrounding lakes, enjoy the small-town charms of Clermont, from the Downtown Clermont Farmer’s Market every Sunday to the shopping along Montrose Street in Clermont’s Historic Village.
Lake County Rowing Association, located directly on the shores of Lake Minneola, offers Adult Learn to Row, Summer Youth Learn to Row Camps, and Team and Individual Training.

Red White and Boom
Clermont celebrates Red White and Boom at Waterfront Park with food trucks, DJ music, and ending with fireworks over Lake Minneola. Viewing sites include Waterfront Park and Victory Pointe.
The Freedom 5k
The second annual Freedom 5k race begins at Clermont’s Historic Village and ends at Suncreek Brewery. Runners, walkers, joggers and whole families are welcome! All participants receive a Brooks running tank top, custom metal, Suncreek beer (adults 21+) and post-race snacks.
Cool Sommer Mornings Tri-Du-5K Series
One of the longest-running multi-sport series in the country, the 36th Annual Cool Sommer Mornings Triathlon-Duathlon-Aquabike-5K series will be run on the shores of Lake Minneola.

September 18 – Sips & Salsa Festival at Waterfront Park

October 15th – 17th – Pig on the Pond will return this year!
December 3-4 – Light Up Clermont
