Surterra Wellness medical marijuana dispensary, located at 1495 State Road 50 in Clermont, held its grand opening on Thursday, April 14th. Members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce held the ribbon cutting and family and friends were there to celebrate its opening. During the ceremony, Clermont Mayor Tim Murry said that 10-years ago a marijuana dispensary would never have been accepted in Clermont. Councilman Ebu Estaush agreed that marijuana is now used by many as an alternative to other prescription drugs.
“We are excited to open our Clermont dispensary and broaden Surterra’s presence in serving the wellness needs of our patients in Central Florida. This new location enables us to continue to fulfill the needs of as many patients as possible, providing access to the many high-quality medical marijuana products that Surterra provides,” said Parallel CEO James Whitcomb.
The dispensary, which is over 2,000 square feet, will offer patients Surterra’s array of high-quality medicinal products developed to enhance a patient’s well-being. Surterra products are all produced from plants grown here in Florida in state-of-the-art cultivation facilities where no harmful chemicals or ingredients are used in the growing process. Products available to patients come from the Surterra Wellness, Coral Reefer (collaboration with Jimmy Buffett), Float, and Heights brands.

In Florida, you have to be 18 years or older to qualify for medical marijuana. In order to get a medical marijuana card in Florida, you have to be seen by a doctor who is qualified by the state to approve you as a medical marijuana patient. Days of operation and hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Patients who are registered in the state of Florida with a medical marijuana card can purchase products. All other visitors are welcome to seek consultations.
