Eustis, FL:  Outstanding Career and Technical Students at Lake Technical College were honored on May 9thas the newest inductees into the National Technical Honor Society, the honor society for Career & Technical Education (CTE).  58 students were inducted for membership based on their occupational skill development, academic achievement, and professional skills in Career & Technical training programs.

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Maintained an attendance rate of 90% or higher; and those students in Law Enforcement and Practical Nursing 95% attendance or higher.
  • Earned a cumulative course grade average of 93% or higher.
  • Completed 50% or more of their CTE program
  • Demonstrated high moral character, positive attitude in the classroom and community, role model for their peers, and recommended for membership in NTHS by a program faculty member.

Since 1984, NTHS has been the honor society for CTE, serving high schools, career centers, community & technical colleges, and universities. Recognizing over 50,000 new members annually, NTHS exists to advocate for and empower all students to pursue the technical and academic skills needed to build their careers and a highly-skilled global workforce.
