The Cooper Memorial Library will host Bavarian folk musicians, a book talk, and more during the month of September. 

On Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 5:30 p.m., author Mary Flynn will host her show, Confessions of a Hallmark Greeting Card Writer, a hilarious, behind-the-scenes look at her time as a staff writer at Hallmark Cards. 

As part of the ongoing Cooper Concert Series, Cooper Memorial Library will host German musical entertainment from musicians Stammtischler on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 108. Stammtischler offers a variety of German musical entertainment, playing on a Bavarian button accordion with tenor horn, wooden spoons, and the Alphorn. 

The Friends Opera Club invites students and the public to attend this educational program and discussion on opera and the operatic experience on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 1:45 p.m. September’s featured opera is 42nd Street by Harry Warren and Al Dubin. 

Emily Skinner will conduct a book talk featuring her newest novel, Mind Hostage, on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 108. Skinner is a protégé of the late master of paperback originals, Harry Whittington. She has been a staff writer for the Clearwater Sun Newspapers, a sales rep, and a writer. Mind Hostage is a hybrid medical thriller inspired by true events.
