The 33rd Light Up Clermont is just around the corner and with it comes lots of holiday fun, shopping and special events for the entire family.
This year’s theme, “Claus in Clermont” is sure to delight everyone.
The fun begins on Friday, Dec. 2 at 5:30 p.m. with the official, tree-lighting ceremony. Mayor Tim Murry will “light” the tree at City Hall Park and live holiday music will fill the air as Santa and Mrs. Claus take time for photos at the Clermont City Center. Tasty food and holiday treats will be available throughout downtown until 9 p.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Hometown Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Waterfront Park and
travel down W. Montrose Street. There will be decorated floats, holiday dancers, marching
bands and of course, Santa Claus himself!
The much anticipated “Cookies and Cocoa” event returns on Friday, Dec. 9, 6 to 9 p.m. in
Downtown Clermont. Merchants provide free, yummy cookies and rich, hot chocolate as
local entertainers perform at City Hall Park. Be sure to stroll around and see all of the
decorated shop windows.
Beginning this weekend, the Enchanted Forest of Trees will be holiday ready. Come to
Victory Pointe between Nov. 19 and Jan. 8, 2023 until 10 p.m. daily to enjoy 50 beautiful
trees, decorated by local businesses and organizations. Stroll along the path, enjoy the lights and holiday music to celebrate the season.
A special mailbox for letters to Santa Claus will also be on site at Victory Pointe. Letters
collected through Dec. 19 will be sent directly to the North Pole. Be sure to include your
address so Santa can answer your letter!
