On Dec. 9th, the Clermont Police Department will partner with the Clermont Fire Department and battle against the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in their annual, Battle of the Badges basketball game to support a local charity.
The friendly rivalry will take place at the Clermont Elementary School gymnasium, 680 E. Highland Avenue, Clermont. Tip-off will be at 6:30 pm with the doors to the gym opening at 6:00 pm.
This event benefits the community by providing holiday toys to children in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate as your admission into the game. There will be prizes raffled off during this worthy cause as well. “Community engagement and giving back is something myself and officers of the Clermont Police Department value” stated Chief Charles Broadway of the Clermont Police Department. “We look forward to seeing you there!”
