The Dragons Are Coming To Clermont Waterfront Park

On March 10th, the Clermont Highland Dragons dragon boat team competed at the Central Florida Dragon Boat Festival in Tavares. The Highlander Dragons paddled in the Premier Mixed Club division against strong competition and came home with bronze medals, missing second place by only half a second. The Highlander Dragons have only recently started competing in the club division and are earning a reputation for being a tough competitor.

Dragon boating is one of the fasting growing team sports in the world. The Clermont Highlander Dragons are a co-ed team with paddlers from all age groups and is looking for new members. If you like being on the water, staying active and having fun, come join the team at a practice.  The team meets at the Clermont boat ramp Wednesday evenings at 6 pm and Saturday mornings at 8 am.
