The Orlando Cat Café proudly announces its new partnership with SPCA Florida, a highly regarded 501(c)3 non-profit animal welfare organization headquartered in Lakeland, Florida. A welcoming celebration will take place on Thursday, June 7th from 12 pm to 6 pm at the café, located in the Cagan Crossings Town Center at 532 Cagan Park Avenue. Admission into the Orlando Cat Cafe play area is waived for past cat café adopters or if patrons bring a donation for SPCA Florida of scoopable cat litter and/or an unopened bag of dry cat food. The celebration will include cake, raffle prizes and of course, cuddly adoptable felines! “We are very excited about this new opportunity and the additional exposure the SPCA Florida adoptable felines will receive,” stated Michael Campana, SPCA Florida’s Interim Executive Director. This collaboration allows both organizations the opportunity to expand its reach to others areas of our great state and beyond.”

Cagan Management Group, Inc., SPCA Florida, and Axum Coffee form the unique partnership of the Orlando Cat Café with a mutual mission of finding new, loving homes to adoptable cats while drinking quality coffee (or tea!). The Orlando Cat Café is both a cozy coffeehouse with comfortable furniture, premium coffee, tea and pastries, and 12 to 15 cats roaming freely in the spacious 1,000 square foot Cat Play Area/Adoption Area. For a small entry fee, guests can enter and bring their beverage and food and cuddle with felines, or patrons can grab their coffee and go while watching the cats through the large viewing window. The cat café has a separate entrance to comply with health and food safety compliance guidelines.

The Orlando Cat Café opened as the first cat café in Florida in September 2016 and has found new homes for more than 200 cats and has brought visitors from all parts of the world. Several out-of-state pet adoptions have also occurred when visitors fell in love with a cat while visiting and resulted in driving or flying back with a new member of the family. Founded in 1979, SPCA Florida is dedicated to improving the lives of pets and people in the community, while providing care, compassion and hope to more than 6,000 homeless animals entering their doors each year with thousands more pets and people being served through their community outreach and education programs.

Adoption fees for the SPCA Florida felines at the Orlando Cat Café are $100 and include spaying/neutering, testing for feline leukemia and feline aids, receiving core vaccinations for feline distemper and rabies (if age appropriate), monthly flea prevention and a microchip.
