On May 24th, the Original Goomba’s Italian Pizzeria celebrated its grand opening at a ribbon cutting officiated by members of The South Lake Chamber of Commerce. The celebration was especially significant because those attending also celebrated with a Red Nose in observance of Red Nose Day. Red Nose Day is a day when people all across America buy Red Noses at Walgreens and go Nose to Nose to raise awareness and funds to help children in need.

It has been years since Goomba’s Pizzeria opened in Clermont on Hwy 50 near East Avenue. The business eventually was sold and the name changed to Napoli’s. Now, The “Original” Goombas Pizzeria has returned to Clermont and has opened at 2395 US 27, Clermont, near Epic Theater.

Don’t let the word pizzeria fool you, the Italian Ristorante offers a wide selection of appetizers, soups, salads, pizzas, subs, calzone and main Italian entrees and desserts. The servers are friendly and efficient and, most importantly, the food is excellent.

Congratulations to Goomba’s Pizzeria on its grand opening.  Hope you continue the annual Red Nose tradition.
