Parkrunners took advantage of the ever-so-slightly cooler temperatures this Saturday at the Clermont Waterfront parkrun, totaling up an impressive 27 personal bests. 143 people ran, jogged and walked the 3.1 mile course, of whom 34 were first timers. Representatives of 14 different clubs also took part.
This weekend, there were a few milestones. Anne Mcfarlane ran her 100th parkrun. Ben Allison hit an impressive 150 parkruns, and Christine Mcmenemy completed her 50th run. Congratulations to all.
Jeremy Arguelles was the first place finisher this weekend with a strong time of 17:15, around a minute faster than the next runner. Coming in second was John Brodie in 18:06, and third was Mark Webster in 18:54.
This week’s female podium was completely dominated by junior runners. Ariana Jimenez led the women with a time of 20:18. Second place was Sydney Fowler in 20:37, a new PB. Third place was Reagan Parks at 21:27. All had very impressive times for 15-17 year old runners.
The Clermont Waterfront Parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 7:30 am. It starts at Lake Hiawatha Preserve, 450 12th St, Clermont.

Clermont Waterfront parkrun started on April 27, 2013. Since then 6,149 participants have completed 18,898 parkruns covering a total distance of 94,490 km, including 3,076 new Personal Bests.
