Vote in honor of a Veteran is a program to encourage voter participation, as well as remind citizens of the contributions Lake County veterans have made.

Citizens who wish to honor a veteran with their vote will be given a “My Vote Honors Veteran __________________” sticker instead of the regular “I Voted” sticker at the polls.

Voters are encouraged to write in the name of the veteran of their choice, take a photo wearing their sticker, and post it on social media.  Selfie stations will be set up outside each polling location so you can share your story and why you think it is important to vote. The veteran’s name will be added to the Wall of Honor on the Lake Election’s Website.  Veterans are also encouraged to participate and be included on the Wall of Honor.  Learn more by visiting VOTE IN HONOR OF A VETERAN
