2018 Downtown Clermont Art Festival
Last Call For Early-Bird Artist Registration Discounts!

All Fine Artists and Fine Crafters are invited to submit early-bird discounted applications with digital samples of your artwork for the 12th Annual Downtown Clermont Art Festival. The Early Bird discount has now been extended to Friday, August 31. The November 3 & 4, 2018 DCAF juried fine art show is themed “Champions For the Arts”. This boutique festival is the signature event produced for Historic Downtown Clermont by the Clermont Downtown Partnership.

You can also apply via email at Sandy@ClermontDowntownPartnership.com.  The best qualified fine artists will be accepted to compete for cash awards and ribbon recognition categories. “Early Accepted” artists will also be promoted in the festival’s media relations, website and social media. The previous 2017 Best of Show Award Winner Ward Siegler will be this year’s Featured Artist with his fine art jewelry creations. 2018 DCAF attendance expected to be at least 10,000 art collectors and visitors. Fees will go up $25 after September 1.

Immediate Call For Artist & Crafter Applications: DCAF 2018 will again host highly creative and technically superb juried artists to continue its reputation as one of the best small and exclusive art shows in Central Florida. Juried artists will be chosen to feature their work in the special Red Carpet Area. Crafters exhibiting their work in the non-competitive division section of the show must also apply to be accepted. Final application deadline for artists and crafters will be October 1. This annual event will be publicized thoroughly in local and regional media, with broadcast, print and online promotions as well as travel guides, tourism and economic development and event websites.

 Early Bird Discounts: There are still special discounts available for those who apply by August 31. Once accepted, Fine Art / Fine Art Craft category artists will reserve a space. Early applicants will get a 10’ x 10’ for $125 or a 10’ x 20’ space for $250 in the Red Carpet section on Montrose Street, with the $25 discount. After August 31, the 10’ x 10’ booth space will be $150 and the 10’ x 20’ will be $275. Non-competing arts and crafts participants must also submit an application with images of work to be considered for acceptance to the event. Accepted crafters for this two-day show without cash awards or ribbons are only $100 for a 10’ x 10’ booth space and $150 for a 10’ x 20’ space.

DCAF Art Awards & Winners: Artists will compete for $3,000 in cash prizes! “Best of Show” will be awarded $750. Judges Choice cash prizes of $250 each will be awarded across five distinct categories of work: Mixed Media 2-D; Mixed Media 3-D; Photography; Jewelry; and Fine Craft. Finally, up to 10 Awards of Excellence of $100 each are available. Award Ribbons will be distributed by 2 PM on Saturday to optimize Artist recognition. The Annual DCAF Artists & Sponsors Reception will be held on Saturday after the show. Red Carpet section Fine Artists and Fine Crafters may attend at no cost as guests of the CDP.

Award, Sponsorships Are Available! Sponsors are encouraged to promote their business services and products with an exhibit space. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the show’s “Title Sponsor”, “Artist/Sponsor Reception” and “Featured Artist”. Purchase Awards, donor participation and business exposure opportunities are available. The South Lake Art League, The South Lake Chamber of Commerce, Florida Blue, Mark’s Flooring, Lake County Economic Development & Tourism and the City of Clermont have already stepped forward to be 2018 sponsors. It is not too early for vendors and food trucks to sign up.

Chalk Art Competition & Kids Zone: There will be a special Kids Art Zone. The Downtown Clermont Art Fest will be free and open to the public from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and 9 AM to 4 PM on Sunday. This special Children’s Art Zone with a chalk art competition will be sponsored on Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM by the South Lake Art League with awards at 2 PM.

Sunday CDP Farmer’s Market: The popular Sunday Clermont Farmer’s Market will be held adjacent to the art festival on Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM. To complement the DCAF 2018; visitors will enjoy live entertainment, food and shopping within Historic Downtown Clermont’s unique shops and restaurants.
