Montverde’s Farmers Market Closes

Montverde – The Wednesday MidWeek Market in Montverde’s Kirk Park has closed until further notice. According to Market management, the decision came prior to September 12th’s event following its return from Summer Vacation on September 5th. The Market opened in January 2018 and at its peak featured up to 24 farmer’s market-style vendors, each a Central Florida small business. Attendance by vendors and guests was noted as a factor contributing to the closure.

“We regret that the Montverde MidWeek Market has closed,” said event manager Ron Smart of AdComm Creative Marketing Group LLC. “We want to thank our friends – the guests and vendors – who participated. We also wish to extend a special ‘Thank you!’ to: Montverde United Methodist Church’s Food Pantry, market host; the Town of Montverde for its support including permitting use of Kirk Park; and, Arellano Realty for sponsoring the Market.”

“It’s possible that a Market could return,” Smart added, “perhaps during the Snow Bird season. Interested potential shoppers, vendors and businesses may share their input and interest via email: mv.fl.market@gmail.com.” The Facebook page, montverdemarket, will remain open for an unspecified period of time. Montverde is approximately three miles north of Highway 50 on CR-455, Florida’s Green Mountain Scenic ByWay. For more information, please email:   adcomm.creative@gmail.com.
