Andrew Howell Knowles, 50, of Umatilla, FL passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018. He was born in Gainesville and raised in Clermont. He was a member of the Catholic Church and was the City of Minneola Public Works Director.
Andy is a 1985 graduate of Clermont High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a Gator.
Said a friend, “The gates of heaven were painted orange and blue to welcome Andy. Andy is no doubt, two-stepping down those streets of gold! Rare was a man so full of joy and acceptance. He had an open heart with the strength to love people just as they are.”
Andy is survived by his daughters Kiana (Kael) Knowles, Leesburg, and Saranity Delker, West Palm Beach Gardens. Parents Joseph and Denise Knowles, Eustis. Sisters Kerry M. (Jeff) Julich, Umatilla and Jessica (Matt) Zinn, Umatilla. Niece Mattie Julich, Umatilla; and nephew, Chet Julich, Umatilla.
A memorial service will be held from 10 am – 12 pm on Saturday, October 6, at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, 279 S Central Ave, Umatilla.
