On Saturday and Sunday, October 27th and 28th, Belk stores will be celebrating their 130th anniversary. Belk started in 1888, in North Carolina with one store. There are now 294 stores in 16 states. It’s the largest privately owned company in the United States.
On Saturday, October 27th, from 1 – 4 pm, Belk will have events and a party for children. There will be Face Painting, games, candy and snacks. The Clermont Fire Department truck will be there for the children to visit.
On Sunday, October 28th, from 4 – 7, the evening will have drinks and refreshments. There also will be a Jazz Combo from East Ridge Senior High School playing in the store. It is also a pre-Charity Day evening. You will be able to buy your Charity Day purchases and take them home with you that night.
