The City of Clermont has announced the winners of the 2018 Light Up Clermont parade.
Best Performing Group
First Place – Shooting Stars School of Performing Arts
Second Place – Clermont Academy of Dance
Best Decorated Float
First Place – Lake County Rowing Association/Cardboard Boat Regatta
Second Place – Lake Lacrosse
Best Decorated Vehicle
First Place – A+ Pediatrics
Second Place – Big Red Buggy with Big Tires
Four community members judged the 30th annual Hometown Holiday Parade, which took place at 10 am, December 1, in downtown Clermont. This year’s theme was Holidays Around the World.
About 55 groups and organizations marched the streets with their festive decor. Vendors provided food, crafts, music and entertainment after the parade.
Light Up Clermont is the City of Clermont’s biggest event of the year. It kicked off with a Tree Lighting Ceremony Nov. 30 downtown and ended with a Lessons & Carols concert the evening of December 1 at the Clermont Performing Arts Center.
