Over the years, the traffic on State Road 50 has increased dramatically. A few years ago, it may have taken a motorist 5 minutes to travel on State Road 50 between Hwy 27 to 12th Street. With the booming population living in and heading through Clermont, it now takes approximately 10 minutes to follow the same 2-mile route.
What can be done? The Florida Department of Transportation is holding a planning workshop tonight, Monday, April 8 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Clermont City Center, 620 W. Montrose Avenue, Clermont. Motorist, cyclist and pedestrian are invited to attend.
Give yourself extra time to get there, traffic may be heavy.
