Earth Day is an annual event celebrated worldwide on April 22 in support of environmental protection.

The City of Clermont celebrated Earth Day and Lake Cleanup at Lake Hiawatha Preserve on Saturday, April 20th.  In the early hours of the morning, families and friends joined in a community effort to clean up rubbish at the Hiawatha preserve.

Afterwards, an Earth Day Festival took place celebrating OUR WORLD. Environmental demonstrations, a kids zone, DJ music and entertainment, food, an aerialist performance and an Easter egg drop provided Fun for All.

Earth Day will always hold a special meaning for Will and Noah Delaney. For 13 years, the boys have observed and celebrated an EarthDay/BirthDay. HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Earth Day should be observed Everyday. After all, it’s up to everyone to help protect our most valuable resource, EARTH –it’s air, land, and water.
