Parkrun is a weekly, timed 5km run that takes place on the shoreline of Lake Minneola.

The event is free, but first-timers are asked to register; after that, just bring a printed copy of your barcode. If you forget it, you won’t get timed.

Participants meet at the Lake Hiawatha Preserve, Lake Hiawatha Preserve, 450 N. Lake Minneola Shores, every Saturday at 7:30 am.  (See Course page for more details).

This past Saturday, Clermont Waterfront Parkrunners hit the trails at the beautiful Hiawatha Preserve. There were 116 people who ran, jogged and walked the trail course, 32 were first timers and 8 recorded personal bests. Representatives from 15 different clubs took part in the run.

The first male finisher was Ollie Garrod from the UK with a great time of 16:51. The second place male was David Pautienus with a time of 18:15. Following in third place was Matt Wilder with a time of 20:27. Congratulations gents! The first lady finisher was Juanita Pardo Sanchez with a great time of 21:28. The second lady finisher was Tara Gale from the UK with a time of 22:31. Following in third place was Sheri Fraser with a time of 23:53. Congratulations ladies!. There were two milestones this week. Ben Van Den Heever celebrated his 50th parkrun. Congratulations Ben! Sharon Lambert from the UK celebrated her 100th parkrun!
