District 35-O Governor Helene Thompson inducted a new member, Victor Chittum as well as the new officers for the coming year into the Lions Club.
Lion Royal Ward passed the gavel to incoming President, Lion Cliff Brown. 
New officers are: 1st VP – Rubin Perez; 2nd VP Dan Strauss; Secretary, LaShonna Perez; Recording Secretary, Betty
Radogna; Tail Twister, Tony Radogna; Lion Tamer, Tom Sheehan; Membership Ch., Betty Sue Jones; Past President, Royal Ward; and Directors Charlie Neville, Barbara Neville, Larry Rescoe and Nick Jones.
 
District Governor, Lion Thompson gave a review of current projects of the District and of her closing out her term as District Governor (DG).  She praised the Club for achieving 70 years of service and awarded the Club a 70-year patch for their banner.
Special guests, Vice Dist. Governor (VDG), Lion Greg Evans and DG Thompson’s Partner in Service, Gini Black was recognized.  VDG Evans will be the incoming DG for 2019-20 at the last District Meeting June 18 in Indialantic, FL.  The Club expressed gratitude to St. Matthias Episcopal Church for enabling the Club use of their social hall for meetings. 
Meetings are held monthly at St. Matthias, downtown Clermont, at 6:30 pm. Pot luck dinners are offered with minimal charge collected by the Tail Twister.
