Join the Lake County Animal Shelter for the hottest event of the summer!

“Hot Dogs, Cool Cats” will be held on Saturday, July 13 from 11 am to 5 pm at the shelter, located at 28123 County Road 561, Tavares.

The fun-filled event offers families free pet adoptions; residents can also enjoy free hot dogs and popsicles from 11 am to 1 pm courtesy of LEASH, Inc., a non-profit volunteer organization directly benefitting the shelter.

“Summer is the ideal time for families to consider adopting a pet,” said Shelter Director Whitney Boylston. “Our free event will give local families the opportunity to spend quality time with their new best friend this summer, while the kids are home from school.”
